Chad’s Choosin's
First up, we have Amazing Spider-Man #559, which features Dan Slott’s return to the title. Anita Blake #11 is the penultimate issue in this maxi-series, and has her dealing with last issue’s big revelation. Batman #676 starts the Batman RIP storyline by Grant Morrison. Booster Gold #9 finds Booster and the (old) Blue Beetle rebuilding the JLI in an attempt to stop O.M.A.C. Captain Britain and MI: 13 #1 is a Secret Invasion tie-in, and is written by Paul Cornell, who wrote quite a few of Doctor Who novels. Green Arrow and Black Canary #8 has Green Arrow and Black Canary fighting Ra’s al Ghul and his League of Assassins. Green Lantern Corps #24 continues the GLC’s quest to track down the Sinestro Corps rings. Guardians of the Galaxy #1 is the first issue of an all new series that comes out of the Annihilation: Conquest storyline. Project Superpowers #3 continues Alex Ross’ comic that uses superheroes from the 1940s. Secret Invasion Fantastic Four #1 has the Skrulls transporting the Baxter Building, and the FF, into the Neutral Zone. Serenity: Better Days #3 is the last issue of this mini-series, concluding with a brutal showdown when one of the crew is captured and tortured. Superman #676 has Superman searching for answers to a riddle with a dying man that’s been part of Superman’s life from the beginning. It features a cover by Alex Ross. Titans #2 features the original Teen Titans being stalked and attacked by an unknown foe. The Twelve #5 is Straczynski tale of a group of golden age Marvel superheroes brought through time into the present. This issue features the origin of the Witness. Wolverine #65 is a Divided We Stand tie-in and concludes the Get Mystique storyline, and has Wolverine and Mystique duking it out in the deserts of Iraq. Wonder Woman #20 features a new artist (Aaron Lopresti) and has the return of the red-eyed invader from issue #16. X-Men Legacy #211 is another Divided We Stand tie-in and starts the Sins of the Father storyline, which has Charles Xavier discovering that his father is linked to a swath of tragic deaths. X-Men Origins: Colossus shows the origin of the Russian mutant. Lastly, glamourpuss is a very deep comic. And those of you that know me know I’m really tall, so it’s gotta be pretty deep.
